New Appointments at the ACCA
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountant’s (ACCA) Norwich Members’ Network has named its new President and Vice-President.
Lesley Penniket FCCA Dip M has been appointed President, an office she also held ten years ago. She brings to the role her diverse experience not only in accountancy, but also scientific research and marketing.
“The ACCA continues to demonstrate global leadership on many financial issues and along with my committee, I am very pleased to champion the excellence of our local members and the region.” she said.
Peter Bussey FCCA was delighted with his appointment. He said: “As recently appointed Vice-President of the ACCA Norwich Members Network, I am looking forward to being involved in continuing to develop the excellent CPD program that has always been provided locally, and enhancing the awareness of other professionals of our presence locally through my participation in the NPIEG (Norfolk Professional Institutes Events Guide).
“Having commenced my career as a trainee accountant with Norwich Union, I then went on to work for the Corporation of Lloyds looking after Names' funds, before taking up my current role as a senior accountant with the R G Carter Group, a large family run construction operation.
“Away from the office I like to attend rock concerts, participate in cycling and rugby to keep active and spend time with my grandchild to keep me feeling young. As well as a ‘gold' blood donor, I also find time to spare as Treasurer for Connects & Co, a local young carers' charity. “
