NEW ACCA APPOINTMENTS

New appointments have been announced by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Norwich Members’ Network for the year 2009/2010.

Yvonne Kelsey ACCA – Yvonne has been elected as President for 2009/2010 and also taken on the role as Treasurer for the network.

Yvonne was born and educated in East Germany, enjoyed various careers in the hotel and tourism industry in Germany and the USA, before settling down in Norwich in 2001.

She qualified with the ACCA in 2007 and joined the Network in June 2008. She now works as a Private Family and Fund Accountant in a Norwich office.

Taking up the position of Vice President will be Jeremy Gilks FCCA.

Jeremy is the Finance Director of Stream Live Limited, which provides multimedia marketing services and telephony.

Having qualified in the profession in Norwich in 1988, Jeremy has been Finance Director for various companies ranging from new start ups to FTSE100 subsidiaries.

Jeremy has also project managed in the delivery of large scale Enterprise Resource Planning IT projects for Logica.

Jeremy is married with four children and has been a member of the regional network panel for the last 3 years.

Norwich Network also recently accepted the resignation from two long-serving members.

Keith Shorten FCCA – Keith had been an active member for the Norwich Network for some 15 years and was President in 1997/1998. In more recent years he served the network as Secretary and his experience was much appreciated, especially by newer members.

Keith qualified in 1989 and became a Partner with Lovewell Blake, Norwich in 1998.

Ian Barlow, FCCA – Ian, also a past President, joined the network in 2000. He acted as Treasurer for the Network for several years.

Ian works for Sexty & Co. He qualified in 1998 and became a Partner in 2004.

Although leaving the Norwich panel, both have pledged their continued support.

The Norwich Network would like to thank them for their contributions and wish them well for their future.
